Seeds of BEiNg Seeds of BEiNg

“Change is inevitable. Growth is a choice.”

Seeds of BEiNg

A growth initiative that invites you to put your hands in the soil, grow something small, and watch it unfold. Inspired by Ben Uri's love of soil, of plants, and of looking inward.

Scroll and the seed will sprout

Every seed starts in the dark.

Plant, document, share

Three small steps, the way Ben would have taken them: get a seed and give it soil, follow what happens to it, and let someone else be part of it.

01

Plant

A small planting kit with seeds and a branded pot, to get you started.

02

Document

A digital growth journal that follows the plant, and the person growing it.

03

Share

A shared space that will widen later into workshops, talks and gatherings.

Coming soon. For now you can leave your details and be among the first to know.

The earth remembers everything.

Ben was ninety kilos of ❤️

The kind of person nobody stays indifferent to. Wildly funny, caring without limits, a boy of light and love with a soul that saw the world. His smile was the kind that lights up a whole room.

His hug was the kind that pushes all the air out of you and makes room for something new. He was the glue of the family, the spirit of the group, the one who always asks how you are doing and somehow really means it.

He understood plants the way people understand people. He could tell what was missing, where more light was needed, how to bring fallen leaves back, and how to give a plant the attention it needs, exactly like a person.

He worked in plant shops and in hydroponic growing, and at home he grew everything he possibly could.

In the last years of his life he set out on a journey of healing through pain, a journey of looking inward, of yoga and meditation, and of living with presence in the here and now.

On 7 October 2023 Ben was murdered at the Nova festival. His story did not begin there, and it did not end there.

Through this project we can turn that journey of growth into something that belongs to all of us.

Ben's memorial page Photos, videos and memories gathered by family and friends. Opens in a new window.

Seeds of BEiNg Garden Kit

The Garden Kit launches soon, a small kit that holds seeds, a branded pot and a quiet reminder of who Ben was.

On its way to you. Leave your details and you will be the first to hear when it goes out.

A digital growth journal

Alongside the kit we are launching a digital growth journal, a personal space that records the plant and also the person tending it. Notes, thoughts, inspiration and personal growth.

Even if you would never call yourself a plant person, we are fairly sure you will find something healing here: a hand in the soil, a breath, and something new beginning to grow.

We grow together, root by root.

There is more room to grow

Talks about growing through trauma

Community workshops for children

Merch inspired by the words and the light Ben left behind

Each one of these is another way to carry his path forward and to grow together.

Want to grow with us?

The plant is in no hurry.Neither are we.

Since 7 October we all carry pain, each of us in our own way. Ben chose to grow out of the trauma and to give it a place inside a life that keeps going, and this project follows him there. Giving the pain room matters to us: room for slow healing, for a memory that moves, for the here and now, and for a life that keeps going gently, in its own time.
